The Story of The Nutcracker Read by Claire Bloom, Music by Tchaikovsky
When my children were young, we listened to this delightful version of the story of The Nutcracker with the music!
"The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" (German: Nussknacker und Mausekönig) is a story written in 1816 by Prussian author E. T. A. Hoffmann, in which young Marie Stahlbaum's favorite Christmas toy, the Nutcracker, comes alive and, after defeating the evil Mouse King in battle, whisks her away to a magical kingdom populated by dolls.
The story was originally published in Berlin in German as part of the collection Kinder-Mährchen, Children's Stories, by In der Realschulbuchhandlung.
In 1892, the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreographers Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov turned Alexandre Dumas' adaptation of the story into the ballet The Nutcracker.

Charles Tolbert Russell (1888-1918) GAVE HIS LIFE FOR HIS COUNTRY
In honor of Memorial Day 2022, I found a relative via Family Search, Charles Russell, who was a farmer in Indiana that enlisted in the Army in 1918 only to die in France just months later. His headstone says, "Gave His Life For His Country".
I am his first cousin four times removed. Some of the dates are questionable but here's the link to Find A Grave:

1950 Census
On April 1, 2022, the 1950 Census were made available to the public for free. So far, I found my grandmother, Edna Palmer, who lived at 12142 Burbank Blvd in Los Angeles, CA which is now an apartment building and one of her sons, my Uncle Willard Palmer who lived in Burbank CA at 829 Rose Street with his children, my cousins, Will Jr and June Marlene.

Uncle Willard's house on Rose St today looking pretty good and below is a map showing the 10 min route from his home to ours at 935 E Tujunga Ave, Burbank CA. Both homes were sold after he and my folks passed in the 1970's.
